Hair Transplant Cost

In the UK, the cost for hair transplants ranges from £3,000 to £10,000+.

Pricing is a big factor when considering a hair transplant as it will cost a few thousand pounds, so it is a decision that needs careful consideration. As most things in life, if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. We therefore don’t offer hair transplants for less than £3,000 as quality care and the desired end result require expertise and time to achieve.

Our average price based on previous patients is around £4,000 – £6,000. This is based on around 1,500 to up to 3,000 grafts.

We do offer finance options for patients that are looking to spread the cost of a procedure into a more manageable payment plan.

Hair Transplant Prices – A Guide

There are 3 types of procedures that we perform, namely hair, beard and eyebrow. To give you an idea of an average spend for each area:

  1. Hair – £4,000 – £6,000
  2. Beard – £3,500 – £5,000
  3. Eyebrow – £3,000 – £4,500

Prices vary based on the amount of work required. The above is an average representation of our patients. There have been other cases where a lot more work has been required and thus the cost has increased. Hair Transplants Methods We Perform

Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) (The Method We Recommend).

Follicular unit extraction, or FUE, is a secure, minimally invasive surgical treatment that extracts out hair from the “donor” area of the scalp to be transplanted into the area of hair loss that requires treatment.

Follicular Unit Transplant (FUT).

Follicular unit hair transplant (FUT) is also called the “strip” method and is an older method of hair restoration that involves cutting a strip of hair from the back of a patient’s head in order to separate the hair follicles and implant them into the area of hair loss. We do not recommend this method as it leaves a linear scar.

Direct Hair Implant Technique (DHI).

The main difference between the FUE method and the DHI method is that with DHI, the graft extraction and implantation is done at the same time with a tool called the Choi pen, in comparison with FUE where first the grafts are all extracted and then implanted into the area of the scalp that requires treatment.
